FIKIA Dada currently offers a safe haven to the girls, but the facility is highly limiting the organization’s capacity to rescue and host many girls. FIKIA DADA Organization, with the support of a well-wishers, purchased land in Limuru and started construction of a house, but this has stalled due to limited resources. With bigger, safer, and better dormitories, training, gardening, and recreation centers, FIKIA Dada will have the capacity to reach out to many young girls who need help.

FIKIA DADA Organization supports the young girls, especially victims of FGM, violence, and forced marriages, to access treatment and psychosocial support.This also includes antenatal and postnatal healthcare, as well as nutritional support for the teenage mothers and their children. This is aimed at enabling them to live a decent life. We have an in-house counsellor who provides continuous psychosocial support to the girls, and occasionally seeks the services of a consultant counsellor for severe cases.

FIKIA DADA offers full sponsorship to support the rescued young/teenage girls to pursue, complete, or further their education, college, or vocational training. The support covers living expenses at the center, tuition fees, resources like books, as well as dignity kits. The support is also extended to young girls from vulnerable backgrounds who are willing to study but lack the resources.
